Flights open on Skyscanner in Australian dollars (NZ dollars for flights from New Zealand), with Google Flights as a second check. Stays open on Booking.com or Expedia. You book and pay on their site. We don't earn anything from these flight links.
First time here? Here's how this works
Each card shows the real price, typical price and % saved — no inflated "was" numbers.
It opens Skyscanner, the flight comparison site most Aussies and Kiwis already use, with your route and dates, in AUD (or NZD from New Zealand). You book with the airline or agent. We never take payment and earn nothing from flight links.
Choose your exact dates and passengers. The price you pay is set by the provider, never by us.
The deals below are the lowest fares and nightly rates we're seeing right now, pulled from live flight and hotel data. Each card shows the price, how much it beats the typical fare, your travel dates and whether to act fast — so you can spot a genuine bargain at a glance and book it on the provider's own site.
Best fares right now
live cached prices · book on the provider's siteFares are for 1 adult, in Australian dollars (New Zealand dollars for flights from New Zealand), as last seen in live fare data. Skyscanner shows the live price in the same currency. It can be a few dollars different, because fares change during the day. Always check the final price before paying.
What will the whole trip cost?
fare + bags + stay + transfersA cheap fare is only part of the bill. Pick a fare, then add your own numbers for bags, the stay and getting to and from the airport. We only fill in what we actually know.
The fare is the last-seen return price for 1 adult, times the number of travellers. Budget airlines usually charge for checked bags; the full-service fares often include one. Check on the booking site before you pay.

What usually helps (worth checking, not guaranteed):
- Fly midweek. Tuesday and Wednesday departures are often cheaper than Friday or Sunday.
- Avoid the first and last weekend of school holidays, and public-holiday long weekends.
- Shoulder season (just before or after the peak) often costs much less for similar weather.
- Check nearby airports: Gold Coast vs Brisbane, Avalon vs Melbourne, Western Sydney vs Sydney.
4Fare rules in plain EnglishWhat "Starter", "Lite" and basic fares usually leave out, so the cheap fare stays cheap.
- "Carry-on only" / basic fares
- Usually a small cabin bag only (often around 7 kg on Australian and NZ airlines). A checked bag costs extra and is much cheaper to add when you book than at the airport.
- Changes and cancellations
- The cheapest fares often can't be refunded. Changes may be allowed for a fee plus any fare difference. "Credit" means a voucher to fly again, not money back.
- Seats and meals
- On budget fares, choosing a seat and meals are usually extra. Families who want to sit together may need to pay for seats.
- Two separate tickets
- If you book two one-way tickets with different airlines and the first flight is late, the second airline doesn't have to wait or rebook you. Leave plenty of time between flights.
- Codeshare / partner flights
- The flight may be sold by one airline and flown by another. Bag allowance and check-in follow the airline that operates the flight.
These are common patterns, not any airline's actual rules. Always read the fare conditions on the booking page before paying.
